

Who We Are
The Volunteer Lawyers Project of CNY, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit legal aid organization that provides free legal information, assistance, and representation in civil legal matters to low-income people in Central New York. Our services are provided by staff and volunteer attorneys with the help of paralegals and law students.
Services throughout Central New York include legal issues related to housing, family, elder, LGBT* rights, immigration, debt, and economic opportunity.
What We Do
The Volunteer Lawyers Project (VLPCNY) provides opportunities for lawyers, paralegals, and law students in Central New York to participate in meeting the unmet civil legal services needs of low-income people in our community through pro bono service. VLP’s projects include an Eviction Defense Program, Pro Se Divorce Clinic, Free Talk-to-a-Lawyer Legal Clinics, Surrogate's Court Pro Se Assistance Clinic, Family Court Pro Se Assistance Clinic, Immigration Clinic, LGBT* Rights Program, Veterans Project, and Debtor’s Rights. We always are looking for attorneys to assist in our projects and with full representation.
