For thirty years, The Legal Project
has helped to close the access to justice gap in New York State by connecting
attorneys interested in pro bono work with the opportunities to volunteer.
Whether you have only a few hours a month to provide legal advice virtually
from the comfort of your own home or office, whether you want to flex your
negotiation and trial skills helping a domestic violence victim find safety though
the family courts, or whether you want to learn a new area of law while helping
someone who would otherwise not be able to afford an attorney, our numerous
programs offer a variety of ways for you to give back to your community.
In
addition to making a meaningful difference in someone’s life, The Legal Project
makes pro bono simple by connecting you with pre-qualified, pre-screened
clients, training, and mentorship by our experienced staff attorneys. The Legal Project is a proud host organization for the Attorney Emeritus Program.
