

Who We Are
African Services Committee (ASC) was founded in 1981 by Ethiopian refugees. Over the past 24 years, ASC has grown to become a multi-service agency dedicated to improving the well-being and self-sufficiency of NYC's immigrant communities. We provide direct health, housing, social and legal services to over 10,000 clients each year with particular emphasis on HIV/AIDS prevention, testing and support.
What We Do
African Services Committee provides free immigration legal services to individuals living in NYC.
Services:
- Naturalization
- Green card renewal or replacement
- Petition for Alien Relatives
- Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals
- Temporary Protected Status
- Adjustment of Status
- Employment authorization document
- Freedom of Information Act
- PRUCOL and Non-PRUCOL letters
In limited circumstance ASC may also be able to help with other matters, including Violence Against Women Act and U Visa applications.
