The LGBT Bar NY Foundation leverages the strength of The LGBT Bar Association of Greater NY’s volunteer attorney network to provide holistic, pro bono legal services primarily to low-income LGBTQ+ New Yorkers.

We envision a world where being a member of the LGBTQ+ community in and of itself will not subject someone to additional legal barriers to creating a family, accessing healthcare, and working in one’s chosen profession. We work towards this vision through offering free legal services at our walk-in clinics, providing appropriate referrals to community members in need, filing amicus briefs in cases impacting the LGBTQ+ community, and addressing systemic inequities in our legal system.
