Empire Justice Center

The Empire Justice Center is a statewide legal services organization that focuses on the needs of low-income New Yorkers in a variety of practice areas.  We engage in technical assistance, direct services, impact litigation, and policy and legislative advocacy.  We provide support and training to legal services and other community-based organizations, engage in policy research and analysis, as well as legislative and administrative advocacy. We also represent financially eligible individuals, as well as classes of New Yorkers, in a wide range of areas that impact the lives of low-income New Yorkers.

Our staff has protected and strengthened the legal rights of people in New York who are poor, disabled or disenfranchised for more than forty years.
