Renaissance Economic Development Corp

Founded in 1997 by its parent company Asian Americans for Equality, Renaissance Economic Development Corp. is a not-for-profit Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI). From the time of its inception, Renaissance's mission has been to assist low-income and immigrant communities across NYC with small business development and access to capital.

Renaissance’s mission is to transform low-to-moderate income and immigrant communities in NYC by providing low-interest small business loans, training and counseling services. At the crux of many economic crises and natural disasters (including 9/11, Hurricane Sandy, and the COVID-19 pandemic), Renaissance has been at the frontlines to assist in economic recovery of impacted small businesses.
